Oh, heck yeah! I'm a 38/40 DD and I've bound. I was binding for drag, though, which is very different than trying to bind to pass. I have known trans guys who started out DDs though.
Why are you binding?? There are different ways to bind depending on whether you are doing it simply for drag or to actually pass in real life.
If you're just binding for drag, for an hour or two, first of all, you don't have to hide as well, and second of all, you don't have to be quite as careful about pressuring your ribs. So basically, for a drag performance, you could get away with a couple of doublewide ace bandages.
To pass, you need more. There are some "professional" binders (check out the links section on my friends website www.ftmtransition.com thats where my partner gets his binders). The problem is that those are expensive.
The other option is this- go to walmart and get a women's girdle- the kind with the hook and eye (bra) closures that is meant to go around the stomach. You'll probably need a friend to help you (someone you're very comfortable with!!) to make sure you've got the right size. It needs to be tight enough, but be careful not to go too tight. Binding too tightly over a longer period of time can be dangerous to your ribs!! Not to mention making it VERY hard to breathe. And while we're on the subject, NEVER sleep in your binding!! Anyway. Those things work well, just wear it up around your chest.
Once you get the thing on around you, you've gotta get the chest in place. The easiest way is to get someone you're really comfortable with to stand behind you and put their hands essentially in your cleavage and pull your chest down and out so that they're pretty much in your armpits. My partner can position his chest without help, but I definately can't. I'm not sure if thats because he does it daily, or because he's so much smaller.
If you want to add just a little restriction to that, you can do a double wide ace around that. Just remember that you have to end up with the end of the ace in your armpit, or else you end up looking like you've got a third n!pple.
Its usually a good idea to wear an undershirt over your binding too, just to make it all look smoothe.

If you are 42 D, I doubt Ace bandages are going to help you very much. There's an extent to how much they can compress, and the more you try to squash them down by wrapping it tighter, the more uncomfortable and possibly even dangerous it is going to be for you. They work for smaller breasts, but larger, not so great.
Your best bet would be to try a professional binder. They're going to be considerably more expensive than an Ace bandage, but completely worth every penny if you plan on binding on a regular basis and want great results. In your case, I think a vest-type binder would probably work best (they zip up easily, have great compression, etc.).
However you choose to bind, it might still not be fantastic. You might get a smooth, flat chest, but it will still look like your chest is padded, somehow- sticking out more than your stomach. In her book "The Art of Drag Kinging", Dante Difranco (Julie Pierce's drag king persona) talks about having the same problem. In order to fix it, she sewed up "fake stomach muscles" with some cloth and padding that she wore, which evened out the front of her torso and looked very natural. If you have the money to invest in the book, it is the veritable Bible for those who want to masquerade or pass as men- giving complete details and instructions on how to prepare a variety of items to help you pass (like those 'fake abs' that I mentioned, plus a variety of ways to bind). I don't know what your reason to bind is, but the book is still great.
If you want to buy a professional binder, try mangoproducts.net.
Hope that helps and good luck!

Perhaps minimizers>? I do know of some women who wear two tight sports bras over another. Ugh,I can't imagine how uncomfortable ace bandages would be!! -And I used to be a 44dd,but I loved them, and do miss them so,lol. (Just a lowly c cup now) Be proud of them, nothing like them in the world =o))

you're able to attempt diverse components. think of hemp ropes tough texture or how might nylon experience? i choose cotton braided rope with a nylon middle... an ace bandage may well be extra effective than many different components. leather-based thongs are a classic determination than many human beings insist on. the exploration may well be as plenty exciting as use of any toy. stable success

How about a good fitting bra? Self-acceptance. I'm a 40DD and am glad that I didn't pay for them. Some women spend lots of "good money" for what "mother nature" gave me naturally.
Is this issue one of not wanting breasts? Then perhaps therapy to examine your relation to your body issue and gender issues.
