This happens to me all the time....about two weeks ago i blacked out in the shower and passed out....i always black out and my vision goes out but it normally comes right back...that time it didnt....well anyways when i got up and went to sit down...i drank a moutain dew and then i was fine...my doctor told me it was a vasovagel.....[you can do a google to see what that is....i really cant explain it] and he also told me i had low blood sugar....so that may be what is happening to you....check your sugar and if it is low... if it is keep a piece of candy with you at all times..you may need it.....be careful and if you feel like you are going to pass out grab something or sit down if possible...its nothing serious but still monitor your blood sugar....hope this helps!!

Sounds like blood pressure changes. It's not uncommon, but it shouldn't be happening a lot. Since it's been going on for three months, you need to talk to your doctor about it. Your blood pressure may be a bit on the low side and when you stand up the momentary drop that is normal during this movement is too much for you because your bp is already low. Good luck.

It is probably because you get up too fast and all the blood rushes from your brain. The same thing happens to me.. sometimes when I sit up and stand up, I suddenly see black with little white stars... I can see the room, but it fades away. Try standing up more slowly. When you wake up or before you stand up, breath in and control the inhalation and exhale. Drink water too..

It's actually normal, everyone's eyes are like that. They have done experiments where they have used drugs and/or restraints to keep people's eyes perfectly still, and when that is done, they can't see anything. This effect usually is difficult to notice under normal conditions, but it's more likely to be noticed when it's dark and you're moving less (like being in bed).

This also happens to me a lot, I used to get tunnel vision after standing up......try standing up a bit slower and make sure to eat breakfast, it sounds dumb but plays a role. Also, just a tip, don't take a shower when you are hungry, this will also cause it and you can end up passing out while in the shower....

My best friend used to get this. She ended up having a tumor that was interfering with her sight. However, because it is reoccurring, I would suggest seeing a doctor. I am not qualified to give you any sort of diagnosis, but loss of sight can be a great variety of things; ranging from minor to very serious.

This sometimes happens to me too. I don't think you have to worry though. It happens because you are probably getting up too quickly.
However, I strongly recommend you get a doctor's opinion just to be on the safe side.
