If this is a vehicle that you just started driving it is not going to handle as good as most others. There is an adjustment on the steering box to tighten or loose the box(adjusts free play). You could get a stabilizer shock for the tie rod or a shackle reversal kit if you want to spend that much money.

i own a repair shop,ad i think i know what you mean,it may have the steering gear adjusted too tight on it,this will make it real touchy,and kind of hard to steer at times also,you need at least 1/4 inch free play in it for it to drive good other wise with power steering it will be real touchy,good luck with it ,i hope this help,s.

Start out with a steering shock (dampner) .That will help some but that was just the nature of the light weight design. You will get used to the steering eventually.

That's just the way cj 7's are.You can try bigger wider tires but jeeps in general have very responsive steering.I always say don't fix it if it aint broke!

replace all tie rod ends ,"rag joint coupling".also check steering sector for wear,you could possibly adjust it

drain all the power steering fluid out, that will make it a little harder to turn the wheel.... lol
