No, reading is not a curse. Reading is a great way to ignore teachers and other people you don't want to listen to. Reading also helps obviate boredom. You can't take a TV around with you, but you can take or smuggle a book anywhere.

reading is not a curse. if you don't like reading try reading genres of books that you like i.e fantasy or adventures. i'm sure you'll caught up in the excitement.

To my son, it's a mixed blessing at times because he uses it to ignore what's going on in his classes. So, the work which could be easy for him is quite difficult.
