Do you think it is ok for a 32 year-old divorced mother of 2 to date a 23 year-old guy. He has never been married and doesn't have kids. It is most likely not a marriage thing, just a fun thing, and they both know it.

No desire to be serious about anyone at this point, therefore not a waste of time. We have similar taste in music, sports, and make each other laugh.

I'm not of the age group you asked for but I was in a similar situation.

I'm 46 and just finished dating a 30 year old man. It was the same situation as yours. I am a widow and have no desire for anything long term, exclusive, or that might lead to marriage. He was never married, no children and said he felt the same. We both dated other people as well.

Then I find out he has purchased a very expensive necklace for valentine's day and planned to give it to me and ask for exclusivity. I had to refuse it, feeling somewhat that he was buying me.

I think he was looking harder for a partner than I imagined or than he was willing to say.

The only thing to be careful of are his feelings, I think. Having never been married and having no children could make him see differently than you do about the relationship even if he doesn't admit it to himself, let alone you.

There has GOT to be a reason why she has been divorced twice. Besides, suppose this thing DID take off. You could become the second father of 4 children. At 20, are you ready for that?

As long as they're having a good time and the kids don't suffer, I would say it's fine. I worked with a girl once who let down her kids...put them way down on her list ~~~~to have fun. It was not a good situation.

Yes this is fine... Age does not matter and there is only a 9 year difference here... Just a fun thing is fine.. Go for it girl... I wish you the best.

It's creepy. Do you really want your kids exposed to this? They'll lose respect for you. As a single mom, you are going to need your credibility. Don't waste it on a stupid "fun thing". Concentrate on your kids.

I think it is okay as long as your kids remain first in your life! It's okay for you to still enjoy life, but don't put your child on the back burner. You go girl!!!!

as long as you both understand it is for fun, but sooner or later attachments may form, and people get hurt over that
