Are there any interesting mailboxes out there?

Ours is just a plain old white one.

Mine is tanned brick.
I've seen someone elses mail box and though it was awesome. It was a cow facing away from you, you have the little door to put bills in and the hole on the top (for newspapers or whatever) was the cows butt!

I live in the Keys and a popular mailboxes around here are manatees and dolphins. I have also seen Big fish for mailboxes, but I like the dolphins and manatees best. They look cool - do an image search on yahoo to see what I am talking about.

Ours is plain, but one of our neighbors has a black and white cow, complete with head and tail; there is another, obviously a MaryKay lady's - it's hot pink with ruffly stuff - down the block a way; and one on the other end of town that I've seen many times is a tuxedo cat with paws outstretched (the mail goes between the paws).

Gorgeous dark green, with a HUGE baseball bat dent in it. The front hardly opens, and the hinges are rusting where the bat bent them. When it rains, the mail gets wet. It is the 4th mailbox this year, so we have just learned to enjoy the look.

I had a really pretty green one that had flowers stenciled on it. But some little bratty punk kid hit it with a car. So now it's just a plain black one.

i use to babysits for this lady, and in her neighborhood their was a school bus mailbox, firetruck mailbox, ambulance mailbox. I believe she said it was an old man who lived in her neighborhood who would make them for everyone.

i have one that is screwed to the front of my house. nothing special but at least i dont have to walk to the road to get my mail. nice to have when there is snow outside
