sims wont install?

i bought sims 2 awhile ago... but now i changed computers and trying to install it again and it refuses to install (i but the code in) i lost the installtion directiosn how do i install it

Is your new computer that you are trying to install it on, able to play the game? I mean , does it have the RAM, the Memory, the video card, etc.. to play the game properly?

And the only installation directions is to put in the CD's and let them do their work. You do nothing, except for the code input after the installation.
