pros to keep schools free of weapons like guns knives and any thing that really can harm any other student

cons yes it is an invasion of privacy..but you are not on your property your on private property and your school administrators and they have a responsibility to keep the school safe

Cons:
- Items don't have to be hidden in backpacks, they could be hidden in jackets and lockers
- May not be cost effective because you would have to hire security and others
- Invasion of privacy
- Takes away much needed time from the school day

Pros:
- Certainly would prevent some crimes from occuring because more people wouldn't bring illegal things to school if there was a chance they could get caught
- Might help reduce amount of drugs sold in school
- Safer environment for all students
- Parents will feel more comfortable
