i will be 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant
instructions:
drink 1 L of water in 30 mins
be up at the Antenatal clinic 15 - 30 mins before the appointmant
and bring Medicare card and request form.
so is this just a normal ultrasound? should i expect any supprises? and what can i expect?

Shouldn't be any surprises. Basically this ultrasound is to 100% confirm your pregnancy and help you get a better idea of a due date. Good Luck!

Yes this is just a normal ultrasound. They just need to confirm all your details and check everything. The water is so they can get a clearer picture of your baby >>> Apparantly they see more clearly and the pictures (if you get any) come out alot clearer also but the waters not essential!

Yep that is instructions for a normal ultrasound. They will listen for the heartbeat and probably give you an estimated due date. You shouldn't expect any surprises.

That's your standard ultrasound. They will do measurements and give you an estimated due date. As your due date changes throughout your pregnancy they will always refer back to this one as being the most accurate.

This is to confirm your due date and to check the heartbeat. You'll see a peanut looking think with a head, short arms and legs. It's really neat!

The other answers summed it up, I just wanted to add that it is hard to drink all that water without pee-ing before the u/s, so don't start too early! It will be awesome!

normal ultrasound....dont expect any surprises...and the lube they use is freakin cold. u just lay on the table and they have this hand held thing connected to a computer and they move it around your belly.

Don't worry. Just do what they tell you. Everything is going to be alright. It is just to confirm the due date. Look for the black circle like thing with the grain of rice in it. It will be the first look at your little one................
