Where I come from, we call it a "wedge". My sister in law calls it a "hoagie". And someone I work with calls it a "sub". Just wondering what you call it???

you can call it a hoagi,a sub, food, a deli sandwich, meat sandwich, lunch, dinner, or you can call it a sandwich in a foreign language. Which do you pick? Oh, and a "wedge" sounds like you are eating some type of tool.

Depends on the sandwich. I have heard all three, hoagie and sub are generally applied to the ones that are made in a long roll with many fillings. A wedge is a double slice of bread with fillings, cut on an angle. At least it is around here. I just generally call them whatever the shop that made them calls them, it's easier...there are so many different names.
