If anything, it will make you have gas pains, sometimes painful gas, which may feel like labor, but it may not be at all. I wouldn't suggest it.
I know how frustrating it is to want to deliver if you are past or near your due date, but hang in there, and trust me I tried stimulating my nipples (another supposed trick) but all that did was cause Braxton Hicks contractions.

Nature will take its course...trust your body...get as much rest as possible, for there are many sleepless nights and days ahead :) But they are beautiful days so remember to nap when your baby naps and enjoy each and every present moment :)

My little sister took 1 teaspoon at 4 in the afternoon and went into labor at 3 in the morning. It worked for her so it may work for others.

I heard that mixing 1 cup of orange juice, 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and 2 tableaspoons of mineral oil is the way to go if you want to start your labor. A friend of mine tried it and within two hours she was ready to go to the hospital.
