It used to mean that married couples would be getting sick of each other after 7 years (and "itch" for other things), generally about the time the kids started school. These days, most marriages end after 4 years.

Im not sure about this but i think the seven yr itch means you are getting bored with your marriage and thinking about cheating.

When your hair color changes to red, your fingernails are colored C.M.F. red and you find yourself wanting instead of denying then that's the seven year itch. Call me in the morning if you have any of these symptoms.

there is really no such thing as a 7 year itch. It is what people like to call it when there relationship grows apart. its an exuse.

think its called the 5yr HUMP? when marriages usually cant make it past that time period?? I honestly think it should be about 4 maybe 4.5 years.

i heard it's when couples still won't get married after being together for 7 years. it could mean they don't have a desire to make it official or whatever.
