Pierre Plantard founded a Priory of Sion in France in 1956, so, yes, such an organization bearing that name does exist. The one to which you probably refer has been dubunked as a fraud created by Plantard in his effort to restore and claim the throne of France. However, the Knights Templar were real. If they created a secret society and the secret has been kept all these centuries, who knows?
