If you're in HS and you fail a class...chances are you're not graduating (if this is the last semester of your Sr. year). If your final grade for a class is failing...you won't walk with your class...you'd have to attend summer school to get your needed credit. I graduated HS 13 years ago and was almost in your situation. I scored poorly on a report for AP English, but my instructor was nice enough to give me an extra credit assignment.

You getting a HS diploma is not dependent upon a university you choose...getting your diploma is dependent upon your grades.

If you're repeating classes in HS it won't affect your future. Your GPA and class rank along with how well you do on your SAT or ACT will determine if you can get in certain schools. Also schools look at achievements (honors, awards, extracurricular activities, etc).

The lower your GPA/class rank the higher you need to score on your ACT or SAT. If you can't get in the school of your choice attend another school and then transfer in two years...just make sure the courses at the school you're attending will transfer to the school you desire to attend.

If you see that geometry is giving you problems...or any other class for that matter...I suggest getting a tutor.

Good luck to you.

I withdrew/failed from Physics 16 classes before the end of my senior year because I hated the class so much and couldn't stand to be there any longer. I also got a D- in Algebra II Junior year.

Somehow I got a scholarship when applying to colleges and I've gotten into 3/4. I'm not really sure how. Colleges look into more than one criteria when they're considering whether or not to admit you, though.

It depends on what your school's credit requirements are for your graduation. Even a D- in my Junior year Algebra II class got me the credit that allowed me to graduate.

You'll probably be OK for college and graduating as long as you meet up with your guidance counselor. They'll be able to help you out, and have a meeting w/ your teacher. Perhaps you can pull off some extra credit. If not, study really hard and try to get good gradesthat will pull up your final grade.

No as long as you meet your schools requirments of the classes you need you will be ok. I took the same math course a couple of times in highschool. And im in college now! You will be fine. Just talk to your counselor so you know what classes to take, and study hard. The only thing that matters when you apply for certain colleges is your GPA and SAT or ACT scores. i barely made it through highschool and im doing fine now. Just whatever You do do STAY IN SCHOOL! peace

i'm at the instant in college. i'm a senior at Texas State college majoring in scientific laboratory technological information, (a.ok.a. scientific technologies) we are people who function, and supervise wellness center laboratories, reference labs, and blood banks. We attempt and study each and every of the stuff that could come out of, or infect your physique. Oh and that i could point out, that's the wonderful decision i've got ever made. I genuinely LOVE what I do! I help save lives typical. i've got faith mandatory, and that i'm getting to apply my ideas typical. Plus, economic protection is an advantage.
