It's not worth it.

They are going to have to rip out the screen area and install the LCD. They are going to have to rip out the clock and install the heater control display. Then they are going to have to wire everything in and set up the voice recognition stuff.

I'd be amazed if they could do all this for less than $3,000. When you are done you vehicle will probably be worth the same or less than it is now. If a new buyer does a check on the VIN they will be told that the vehicle was a non-navi to begin with. They will then know that the vehicle has been messed around with extensively. This will certainly put off most sensible buyers, thus you may actually lose money on your car.

Seriously if you want navigation buy a nice Garmin for less than $500. When you next trade your TL, buy one with navigation.

Yes. for about $2000 before installation.

Find a salvaged navigation system for the same model year and have it installed at a local mobile audio shop. The price is bound to be a 1/3 or less of the MSRP.

You should be able to find one on ebay.

I work in the auto industry, and I have had this question asked before. Acura will not install a navigation system into a non-navigation car.

Your choice is to purchase the parts and have a stereo shop install them for you. It will be an expensive upgrade, so factor this into the cost of your new car.

Good luck!

yes you can but its not worth it you need to replace dash, radio for navi, buttons on steering wheel, mic in headliner for navi and you still need all the wiring harnesses for this. No they are not already in your car. your better off just gettin a garmin. note you will not have the voice activated controls like with the stock tl navi but you save $1500. I say that cause a good garmin navi will cost you around $500+ and the acura system is $2000.

Yes you can but you need alot of stuff, the front navi unit screen and climate control, wireing harness, rear dvd unit, dvd unit harness, antenna, antenna wiring, and a few other smaller things.

There is alot of wiring that is need to get it to work. All the parts will cost you $2000+ thats also if you can find everything out of salvaged/wrecked cars. most of the items are pretty hard to find, and you will need to resort to going to the dealer.

Take a look on acurazine.com on the TL forums in there, there have been people who have done it before

I would think that they could. You would just have to take the car back in when the system is delivered. It might also cost you a little bit more since it was not installed at the factory. I would ask the dealer if they provide that service at their dealership.

The dealer can install any any navigation system that was an option that year. This is common as a dealer installed accessory package. Or if you find a wrecked or salvage car they will work as well.
