I come from England. But i hear alot about tension between Canadians and Americans.

Can someone explain to me why its seems this way?. I used to work with a Canadian man, and he didnt have a very high opinion of American people. Im sure theres lots of you that have examples of why this isnt always true.

So, can anyone clear this one up for me?

Well I'm a Canadian, and I have nothing against Americans. We all seem to live next door to each other with no hate. I think some Canadians are against Bush, just as some Americans are. I have also lived in Germany, and I know Germans don't think to highly of Americans. I guess it all depends on past experiences!

As an American citizen who has traveled to Canada, I can honestly say I harbor no rivalry or resentment against my "neighbors to the north." I have been treated with great hospitality there. Polite, considerate people, and hey, the streets are clean.

Im an American and as far as I know, there is no tension between us and Canada. Our main problem here in the USA is illegal mexican immigrants bleeding our economy dry.

By and large it is just a friendly rivalry, like picking on a brother or sister. But there are some people out there who really hate those back-bacon smelling, godless socialists!

Tension...really? I always saw the US as the richer, older cousin to Canada...sweet, innocent Canada.

I think its funny. They're seen as slow and simple. Not sure how they see us, probably vulgar, loud, and rash to act.

I've never heard anyone speak truly ill of Canada, so I hope you are wrong.

Canadians ( and I am one) have long had US envy. I'm glad I live in the US and not Canada anymore.
