I got this gown that is too small by only 2 inches, and i had seen before where someone had taken out the zipper and made it into a lace up in the back. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?
Thank you!

To remove the zipper use a seam ripper and carefully break the threads until the zipper will come out.

Get a stitch ripper from Wal-mart sewing section (or use a razor blade) and carefully shred the thread stitches between the zipper face and the inside of the dress.

Go slow, inch by inch.

First you have to have a sem ripper .now put it un der the small loop tug it . do this un till your zipper is off . now once you have done this the easest thing to do if you never sewed be for.is fold each side were you took the zipper out .slip stich it . now you pick out the lace you wanted . ok on the in side of your grown on each side were you took the zipper out this is were you are going to sew on your lace.on each side of it do this un till you have all the lace you want on it . now you have you a new grown.

Use what I use it is called a seam ripper. How to use it: Place the seem ripper into the seam of the zipper (in your case) then gently pull up from the bottom of the seam. This should work :
