Is it social programming or instinct?

Thats funny, I just had this conversation with my mother. My grandfather recently passed, while I was growing up I never heard anything bu negative about him. Then he passed away and it was as if he was an innocent angel. I tend to believe we don't want to see the bad things in people after they are gone. We most likely are just carrying around some dramatic crap. If only people let things go and treated others while they are alive the way they think about them after they are gone. Regret can really throw you for a loop!

We see these bad qualities as threats. Once a person has died, the witness will no longer feels threatened by the person. Good qualities however, often are carried on by the public who recongize these deads and wish to imitate them. This is in exception to people with notable bad qualities on a large scale (such as a terrorist). However, if you believe in Vampires, I'm sure you would not forget the persons badness

oh but they do, however remember that it is instinct to remember what you have lost not what you have gained when someone dies.

think about it this way you loose all the good things but gain from the lack of the bad things happening?

doe this make sense.

unless you take into account the likes of idi amin or other people who are just horribly cruel then people rejoice at their death.

cheers

it's better off to deal with death and move on.and it has to do with respect or just forgetting a horrible person. so it's social programming;instict is getting over the bad things and not letting it bother even at the thought of it.

people who died they lost many things , such as fix any thing bad they did before ,or even regret for doing this .
they left our world , they live in another place that they have thier own life , also it's useless to remeber any thing bad they did because you won't be able to take any action aganest this so let's live in our world and leave them in thier world leaving a space to make other people forget the bad things we do when we die .

It's called respect of the dead as well as respect for the people who feel their loss. When you die do you want people to remember you for this kind of attitude or for the person you are when your not playing on the PC?

It's respect to the family members that are bearing a loss.

Even though the person could be a complete asshole..there is nothing that can break blood.

I think they do, and I am sure that often times they remember and go "god I'm glad their dead!"
