While at a dance competition yesterday, I saw several groups/solos doing Modern Dance. I loved it! I cannot find anyone around here that teaches it. Does anyone know of videos etc or places close to New Orleans that teaches this style?

New Orleans has several universities, stop by their dance programs and ask around. They are sure to be teaching Modern and can tell you of local studios for classes!

just visit different dance studios, many of them teach it. i take modern classes and love it but its very hard to explain so i would highly recommend getting a teacher or professonal who knows what their doing to teach you rather than some video. hope you find a place. its a very interesting dance to perform and if your interested in the history of modern dance then research Martha Graham. She was the person who "invented" modern dance! :)

My wife invented the jump high dance.
Just throw a Mouse on the kitchen floor and move out of the way.
