UGH!! That was just EVIL! I mean, people come there to be critiqued on their singing, not their appearence. OMG I just wanted to slap Simon!! Well, Simon you aren't exactly the hottest person either!!

I believe that Simon could find a better way to put these people down but as someone has already stated, this is what we watch
American Idol for is to see what Simon is going to say to some poor ugly person that can't help being ugly but could try to be a little more presentable, I think Simon is terrible and so, so mean but you have to admit, he calls it as he sees it and sometime I really feel bad for the people because I honestly believe that some of the contestants really think they look good and that is so sad!!

The mean in me laughed, but the good said Simons an A**. Even if the guy didn't hear him Simon knows it will be telecast and eventually people will hear the mean things he has said. Oh,Simon worry about your own looks. Can anyone recommend o good man bra store for Simon?

Those kids were "special needs" and Simon's remarks were un-called for. People should be critiqued on their singing/talent and not their physical appearance.

I think Simon's critiques of people's singing is right on usually. But he often goes way too far. He shouldn't be able to make comments like that.

It was Randy Jackson who came up with the "bush baby" phrase, Simon could not think of the name of the animal he was trying to describe. . Frankly, he was right.

I like his honesty but I think he goes just a tad too far.
Critique the singing....leave the personal stuff out.

its what makes american idol interesting!! if you put ou those comment of simon then the show won't be as interesting as it is now!!

It was cruel and pointless. Kid can't help that he's odd-looking. If he wanted to insult the kid, trash his awful dance moves.
