A period can be easily influenced by a number of things...even anxiety, or 'nerves'. As a health care provider, I often have patients that come in with this concern. I always do a pregnancy test which requires a blood sample (more reliable, however, the store bought tests are very reliable also..if done correctly). For just one episode of these symptoms...and no other symptoms..I usually take a 'wait see' stance. If it is an ongoing problem then a more extensive evaluation needs to be done. This also depends on your age...I am assuming you are young. The one good thing about an experience like this, is that a more serious attitude toward birth control can result. I always said that I used to complain about my period coming....until there came a time when it didn't.

Sometimes it's just a hormone thing. Trust me, I've been having fevers and I went to a doctor and she said that it was just a hormone, I wasn't pregnant. Don't worry, sometimes the pregnancy tests that are store bought can be kinda crappy. You might not be healthy, but you are also not pregnant. Right now, I'm VERY sick, but I'm not pregnant. My final answer is , No, you are not pregnant.

You only get your period because the lining of your uterus builds up and when you ovulated no egg was implanted in the lining (that would be pregnancy) so the lining flushed out and hence a period.
Sometimes your lining never builds up. This can happen if you do not have enough estrogen, from changing birth control, or a slew of other reasons. I am sure it is nothing to worry about, however if you are still concerned you should see your gynecologist.

Not havin a period does not mean you are pregnant, there are a number of things that can cause the lack of a period from hormones, to an exercise regime, stress - you would be best to seek medical attention from a doctor as the home pregnancies test can sometimes not be as accurate as they make out to be

That used to happen to me frequently when I was younger- late, even skipped periods, but I wasn't pregnant.
How old are you? If you have had your period for only a few years, it could still be regulating itself. However, in some people they are always off (like me) and have to take birth control pills which regulate it perfectly.
Another cause of this could be any recent weight loss, lack of eating, stress, tons of exercise, etc.

Sometimes your hormones are not regular and the period never comes fully. You may have other symptoms like you will start even if the blood never comes. If you continue to feel that you may be pregnant than a doctor's test will be more reliable.

First off all.. it depends on how old you are and how long you have been menstrating....
Periods can become irregular with stress and changes in your diet.....or sleep patterns.
keeping track of your cycles lengths can help you stay more in tune with your body.. use protection when having sex or abstinence is a better concept.... wait a couple of days and maybe test again....
see a doctor if your cycles continue to concern you

Wait for 270days after your last period, you will get a baby - then you can decide whether you were pregnant or not

Anxiety about being pregnant is one sure way to skip a period. Certain physical activities, all sorts of things can delay your period.

In the next month or two (if your period still hasn't come), go to the doctor. in the first few months of pregnancy, the areola[sp?] (the pink part of your breast) becomes dark and puffy. if you notice this, definitley go get a ospital preg. test
