i own a shop,and you need to have the computer scanned on it this might help you with the repair,it sounds like it may have a sensor going out on it,id also check the gas filter on it,it may need changing,the light your getting is caused by a sensor not functioning right ,but it could be because of a lack of fuel ,have it scanned it will help you in finding whats wrong with it,good luck ,i hope this help,s.

Don't know if it will be the same but my fiat does the same thing. Had to change the engine coils which are around £30 each. Hope that helps btw i had a ten year old corsa and nothing went wrong with it now ive got a fiat i seem to be seeing my mechanic at least every week DONT BUY FIAT!!!!

It could be any number of reasons. Vauxhalls are buggers for sensors. if the management lights on it could put the car into 'limp home mode' to save the engine. My money will be on the crank shaft sensor but you need to get it onto diagnostics machine to check.

this sounds like a bad sensor. I would advise you go to a garage that has (and this is important) the correct diagnostic programme for a vauxhall,
Check th YP for a specaialist.

As others have said you need to get a code readout its probably the lambda sensor but you need a read out to confirm.

Fuel pump going bad.
Or, plugged fuel filter.
Try replacing the fuel filter first. Maybe a good tune-up too.
