The only way to "kill" a zombie is to destroy the brain. So to kill a zombie with a knife, you'd have to stab it's head. The best place to stab is their temple, however this can take quite a lot of force. You can also stab through the eye, but this requires accuracy. And if you fail to hit the brain, you’re left in a position where the zombie can easily bite you.

Zombies are coated with layers and layers (and layers) of shredded white cloth. Or toilet paper, depending on the expert you've been speaking with.
Either way it's hard to damage a huge pile of shredded cloth with a knife. You know? You just make it a little bit more shredded. The zombie probably feels a little off-balance, and perhaps a bit more raggedy and falling-apart-y, but those are old school for any worthy zombie.
Therefore the effect you can acheive by knives is negligible. I would guess you'd need a super-sharp, super-long Japanese blade or the like with which to chop off the head and various limbs. Even then though, a little glue and water and he'll be wandering around saying "brains brains brains" like he'd climbed groaning from his grave only yesterday.
Fire is generally the most effective weapon, and the funniest too. You get to see them bumping into each other and setting each other on fire and then you have this big crowd of crazy flaming zombies running every which way saying "arrrrrr arrrrr."

because they are dead. And you know something?
Dead body will become harden, the blood get clotted due to lack of body warm, muscle harden. So when you use a knife to stab a zombie, it impossible because its too hard to stab into it..
maybe you need a big saw will do...lol.

You can't kill something that is already dead. You have to dismember it with something like dynamite or a grenade launcher. If that doesn't work try glue traps.
