If it exist, then why does the some believe in eugenics? Are not one they both the same ? Just one is man made.

If natural selection exist, then eugenics would not be needed being that it is virtually the same.

In eugenics, certain people believe they know what characteristics are best for the human race and they actively work to weed out the rest.

Wow, Evangeline Electra. Pretty much everything you told him was wrong. You should be careful who you use as a reference on the internet, there are a lot of con artist out there.

First, the question:
Natural selection is the observation that organism with certain characteristics tend to survive to reproduce in an environment better than members of the same species with slightly different characteristics. That’s all there is to it, it is very simple.

Eugenics is the idea that:
1) The human race can be improved or 'purified' by weeding people with certain characteristics out of the gene pool.

2) That somehow someone can tell what these characteristics are.

Eugenics is considered unethical.
Whether or not it would work is not the issue, it is considered wrong. Killing your competitor for a job might work, but it is definitely wrong.

As for Evangeline Electra:
1) What the bible says is not science. There is no evidence of a worldwide flood as described in the bible, and no evidence of any Noah. There is no way to fit two (or seven) of each kind of animal on a modern aircraft carrier, much less on a wooden boat.

2) I am not even sure what you are trying to say here. Irreducible complexity is a concept by Michael Behe, who, while an ID supporter, would not agree with what you say here about it. Plus, Behe accepts the old age of earth and he accepts evolution, he just believes it was guided or blueprinted by some unnamed ID. The comment about vestigial wings is, um, confusing at best. Wings on a penguin are considered vestigial where flying is concerned, but not with swimming. Vestigial does not necessarily mean 'has no use' but instead can mean 'used differently'. Some organs are pretty much useless and we would be better without them. Such as the appendix.

3) There is evolution all around us. Organisms are constantly changing. Ever hear of antibiotic resistant germs? We have lots of transitional fossils. The trail of the evolution of the horse and the whale are excellent, and the evolution of humans is pretty clear also.

4) There is an excellent book by Jonathan Weiner called 'The Beak of the Finch'. The Grants lived on the islands and studied the birds for decades, measuring them and tracking their changing beak size. They were one species. Now there are differences.

Darwin was British so that makes him evil?
Argumentum ad British? That is a new one to me.

Evangeline, if you do a search for 'transitional fossils' and 'speciation' you will find lots of observable, documented cases of both.

Also, you should look up how science uses the word 'theory'. A theory is an explanation of a single or set of facts. The fact is that organisms change over time. The theory is Natural Selection, or the descent with modifications.

As I have stated over and over again, it is awful the lies and misrepresentations that are taking place, by the creationist, in an attempt to push their religious views as science.
Sorry that this is so long...

Eugenics is not natural selection. Eugenics would more aptly be compared to selective breeding of animals and plants. The problem with this is that we don't understand all the implications of our selections. One cannot select for say large brains and not expect other ancillary effects.

This is why, after years of selecting for long snouts, collies have become less intelligent. Also, after years of selecting for retrieving instinct, golden retrievers have become susceptible to hip displasia. Actually, the causalities are extremely complex and are rarely binary like these (likely inaccurate) examples).

On the other hand, natural selection takes all of these into account. If some mutation confers an advantage and a disadvantage, the net effect on the ability of the organism (technically, populations of organisms) to reproduce is ruthlessly made apparent in the struggle for survival.

Eugenics only refers to selective breeding for traits in man.
Selective breeding will work much faster to provide desired results over natural selection, but doesnt take into consideration other genetic traits that are not being engineered...so you might get a bunch of really smart people quicker, but they'll all die from some genetic disease that would have been accounted for by natural selection.

Again, the aspects that go AGAINST evolution being unravelled every day. There is no such thing as Evolution. Keep reading, you might find this interesting and enlightening...
There is a WIDE ARRAY OF EVIDENCE THAT FALSIFIES EVOLUTION. Some people may say that their is evidence in fossils and it is hestiracally AMMUSING how they show fossils that compare an animal that existed back then and still exists today... THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. The evidence below is not the only evidence, rather the most outsanding points:

1.) Darwin verse Bible

Darwin - "All the species in the world descended from 4 or 5 ancestors in to whcih life was breathesd" So does that mean there was only 8 or 10 animals on Noahs large, large, LARGE, boat???? (two of each?)

2.) Vestigial Organs
Vestigial organs, according to Darwin, are organs that loose their function over time. So if animals and plants have vestigial organs, there would be NO life on Earh!!! But that's not true! (there is life on earth) This is due to a logical principle called IRREDUCIBLE COMPLEXITY - the principle states that if one organ is removed or looses its function (like a vestige), the systems neccessary for life will not function, hence there would noe be any life.
Darwin says that the wings of a flightless bird are vestiges. If that's so, all birds today would be able to fly! (contradiction here!!!) Darwin, did it ever occur to that the wings of a flightless birds cannot carry such a heavy bird??! (ostrich, kiwi, chicken)

3.) Where is the evolution now? Can't find it anywhere.. not even in FOSSILS.
There are fossils of animals and plants that still exist today. Is there any sign of change? No! That falsifies Evolution!

4.) The Finch beaks? They change? Darwin, can't you just keep things simple??!!!
Darwin says that the Finch beaks adapted to eat their prey. Did it every occur to Darwin that they are all different species, hence allowing for different appearances?!
______________________________...

You may find the term 'Evolution', the theory that is now misprooved, mentioned as though a fact. However, it is only a theory and there is some evidence misprooving!
All those who agree on Evoltion are ignorant, (a very bad word needed to describte them). Darwin was British! All he wanted was fame and fortune!
Here's one of his qoutes: "There is nothing more PROFITABLE than a journey around the world".

Do take note that this is not jsut things I made up. This information is from articles I found on the web. You're right, evolution is stupid. I would send them to you but they got deleted from my e - mail. You may say that there is very little that goes AGAINST evolution but ANYTHING THAT COUNTERS A THEORY, WHETHER IT IS ONE POINT OR A THOUSAND POINTS, it still makes the theory FALSE

Source(s):

As for Creationism, the opposing reality (some people might say theory) some people might say "How do you explain creating the world in 7 days?". Well, it's up to the people to have faith in GOD and to believe the right thing.
Those who say that Evolution is a fact are ignorant people who are tricked into believing such RUBBISH

Eugenics is artificial selection and that is not the same thing as natural selection at all. Think a bit more about that and you will see that is true.

"Eugenics is a social philosophy which advocates the improvement of human hereditary traits through various forms of intervention."

Natural Selection is the process by which favorable traits that are heritable propagate throughout a reproductive population: individual organisms with favorable traits are more likely to survive and reproduce than those with unfavorable traits.
