My boyfriend and I are 18 years old. As our graduation present our parents are allowing us to go on a trip. My boyfriend wants to go to Jamaica. We want to go to an all inclusive resort where we will be able to drink and have a good time. We were thinking a couples resort but I am assuming that would mostly be 30-40 year old couples who would frown upon two 18 year olds. They also have just 'adult only' resorts which like the right choise but I am unsure. Do they consider 18 an adult at these resorts? Did anyone ever go on a trip like this for their graduation? Which did they choose? Should we avoid any particular type? Please help!

Please DO NOT go to the new Bahia Principe in Jamaica. There are so many problems there, and the beach is nothing to brag about. Check out www.tripadvisor.com seriously they have all the information you could ever want. I was planning a trip to Jamaica last summer but I knew nothing about it until I read up on trip advisor forums. There are tons of members who write reviews and answer questions on the forum boards.

I stayed at the RIU Ocho Rios. It is brilliant! It is a huge resort with a beautiful stretch of beach line. It's so much fun and close to night life. I took my 17 year old daughter and her friend and they had so much fun. There is Margaritaville, and plenty of other clubs. Ocho Rios is the best place in Jamaica for night life!

Jamaica is a great place to vacation. The legal drinking age is 18, so u'll be free to do whatever. Sunset Jamaica Grand is a good all inclusive resort in Ochio Rios for young adult. Sunspee Holiday Inn in Montego Bay is also good. If u want to get a little wild Hedonism III in Negril is the best. Overall you'll find a lot of other young ppl at all three resorts. Don't go to St. Elizabeth as Suggested, it is really nice...but....not for young ppl wanting to have fun. enjoy

Jamaica all the way.
Well 18yrs old is considered adult in Jamaica so you can do all you want. For nice hotel fitting your age group. Try Hedonism Resorts Negril check out www.superclubs.com In Negril you can go to Rick's Cafe in the day or night, there is Margarita ville Negril and when the club at the hotel closes at 2am you can go to the Jungle night club which is just about a 5mins drive away from the hotel. They close about 5am Also checkout www.negrilonstop.com . www.ohcioriosonstop.com and www.montegobayonestop.com enjoy.

My understanding of the adult only resorts was that children would not be allowed. Not sure what they would think of two 18 year olds. You might look into some of the Club Med Carribean packages since they target some of their resorts to certain ages/couples/singles/families.

An all inclusive hotel would be great, but stay away from the "adults only" hotels, i guarantee you you wont find any -other- 18 year olds walking around, the older crowd likes the peace and quiet there better. Try Aruba or Curacao, Aruba is much safer but Curacao has club med which I heard is great for couples and/or singles. Aruba has a lot of all-inclusive hotels, for young folks like you, (and me) I suggest the Holiday Inn or check out renaissance, thats downtown, near all the nightlife but im not sure if its all inclusive. The best time to go would be around the end of April, cheaper ticket, hotel etc...

HAVE FUN!! ARUBA IS A PARTY ISLAND! (So is Curacao btw)

I would suggest that you choose a small town like Black River in Saint Elizabeth. Enjoy the beach, the safari, YS falls, Holland Bamboo with the cold water coconut drinks along the way. Dont do too much drinking because this is where you can start trouble on yourself as young people. Black River is approx 1 1/2 hours from Montego Bay. Keep it safe and quiet.
