My garbage disposal is not working. It does not appear to be stuck as I can manually turn it from underneath the sink. Also, I can spin the bades when I put my hand in it. When I turn it on, I can hear the power going to it, but nothing happens. Any ideas as to anything else I can try? Any help woud be much appreciated.

Since you can hear stuff, and spin the blades, thats a good thing. But since its not working, thats a bad thing. Well... yer in luck.

All garbage disposals have a reset button them. You'll have to look for it under your sink on the garbage disposal itself. Its there, just press it and voila.... it SHOULD work. If it doesnt, then yo umay have to replace. But most likely this is it.

If the reset button (might have one) doesn't fix it, then you've sheared the shaft and it's time for a new garbage disposal.

Try the reset button on the bottom of it.

See if there is a reset button underneath it. If so, push that, and try again.
