Who lives in Gilmer or near Gilmer like Pittsburg, Mt. Pleasant or Longview? I just was wondering.

Well I grew up in Rains County, which is a small county not far from Gilmer. We used to ride the Winnsboro Trailride with folks from Gilmer. That was a great time in my life and I just didn't have a clue how wonderful that life was. It is a beautiful area all down near Gilmer, Tyler, Longview, Mineola, Winnsboro, Yantis, Sulphur Springs, Cooper, etc. The east Texas area is great!!

Never lived there but lived elsewhere in East Texas Woodville, TX in deep east Texas it is a very nice area. I have been to Gilmer, TX and there is a lot of oil rigs there.
