Final Fantasy is a much loved video game series, however to answer your question there were two CGI movies one titled Final Fantasy The Spirits Within, and the other called Final Fantasy Advent Children. There was a 2 part animated movie as well called Legend of Crystals: Final Fantasy. Finally there was a anime series that recently came out I believe last year Final Fantasy Unlimited. It is important to realize that Final Fantasy is a series that has similar themes, however each story is unique and independent of each other.

There were a couple of CGI movies, Advent Children and Spirits Within. There was also an animated series a while back, but it can be hard to track down on dvd. Advent Children was the only one of these to follow characters from the actual games (Final Fantasy VII only). There were several manga series as well. As for Leon's voice, he only had a voice actor in Kingdom Hearts, as Final Fantasy VIII didn't have voice actors. Also, his name was Squall in FF VIII.

Yep, it's true... there is a movie in Final Fantasy. That is, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, the sequel of ff7... the storyline is wonderful especially the battle scene... It was rumored that Final Fantasy 13 will adopt the battle style of FF7. It was really great!!! Cant wait for FF13 to be realeased...!!! (i'm not even finished playing FF12)...
FYI: FF13 is a game for PS3..

7! Squall was way too emo and I couldn't stand the whole draw magic thing on 8. The whole love theme felt more foreign than the other games. You junction and equip magic to stats and then you can't even use it unless you want to lose your stats! That witch boss was lame, too. I've owned 8 since the day it came out. I played through it once and haven't given it a second thought. FF7 is in my all time top 5.

Yes there is a movie,i went to the video store to rent scream 2 and i saw a poster about a final fantasy movie ADVENT CHILDREN,its rated PG-13 and has cloud (and or other FFVII characters) in it.It probly has to do with some kinda shinra mess
