For technology, I'd suggest NASA's Stennis Space Center on the Gulf Coast, where they test rockets. Clear at the other end of the state, a music fan might be interested in Elvis' home in Tupelo.

I wouldn't go to that state. There is so much racism. Both ways. I have gone there a few times to gamble and such. Now I won't even stop to buy gas. Sad but true...
