Same here, I hate it when people call me sweetie or hon or some other names like these. Especially when they are the same age as me, I look younger than I am so that is probably a part of it. But yeah I hate it.

Yes, especially if they are younger than you or the same age. Old people don't know any better, seeing as they are losing their minds and can't remember names.

Yes, it sounds insincere. Took me a long time to get used to the Brits calling me 'love'. Still don't like it. I keep thinking, 'What will you call me if you really love me?'
