Yeah the second date that I went on with my husband he tried something on me that really made me mad and we broke up and didn't speak for months and months eventually we got back together and married.

yes. I used to be really anti-cellphone about 6 years ago. Then I got one and found this new "freedom" to be super cool. For the next 5 years I really cared about having the latest new phone or accessory. Now I'm back to not caring about them anymore because I value my privacy more than I used to. Now I just it when I need to. If I see ya, I see ya. If I don't, then I don't.

shun seems kind of strong to be used in this context. Usually one thinks of shunned as being bannished from a religious faith, as in being excommunicated.
