I dropped my hot iron on my carpet. It left an iron burn mark on my brand new carpet. Do I need to replace the entire carpet? Or is there a solution to this?

Yes there is a solution~Buy an area rug and cover it! Or if your really brave and have some extra carpet left over, take a utility knife and cut the area of material out that was burned. Use the area of carpet you cut out as your 'template" to cut the new piece of rug out. Hot glue the new piece in place. Purchase a good quality glue stick at your local hardware store (not the craft quality glue sticks). Also check with your carpet installer, they will also do the repair by removing the spot and bond it in place.

You could have the carpet repaired. If you just had it done most likely you have a small amount of left over contact your installer and have them come over and patch it. They will cut out the burned area and glue in a new piece it will be invisible to the eye. Good Luck!

Rub some rubbing alcohol on it. I saw a friend do this to a candle burn in her carpet and it actually worked. I think she used a toothbrush also.
