If you had a friend or relative who died in a freak accident, would you poke fun like some did at Steve Irwin and Sonny Bono or would you be more sensitive to the person's death because it was someone close to you?

I've joked about the not so pleasant way my grandpa died, but only with people who loved him too because he would totally get it.

I didn't poke fun at Steve Irwin or Sunny Bono and we just had a relative die in a freak ski mobile accident. He was buried on the same day as my grandson was born.
Don't put everyone in the same category. We are not all the same.

Most people use humor as a defense mechanism and then some just find humor in everything. I relate to both.
