It is about a women who's name was maybe Anne or Annie who was forced into a polygmous marriage, escaped, moved to Denver and became a public defender. She meets an innocent client and together they must take down her former husband. I loved this book and I would love to find it again, any titles or authors names you can suggest will be greatly appreciated.

Check out REMOTE CONTROL by Stephen White. Different city(Boulder) but a good mystery read.
