It kind of depends on what you want to do with your phone. Verizon cripples the bluetooth function on their phones so you can't do file transfers with other phones. Cingular doesn't.

Verizon. I have a Verizon phone, Cingular phone, and a Nextel phone. My favorite on is my Verizon phone. The Q4 numbers were released today and Verizon kicked Cingular's butt in net ads. Verizon STILL has the lowest churn, or customers leaving, in the whole industry. IMO Verizon will be #1 and Cingular will be last. Cingular's network just isn't as good as Verizon, both technically and virtually. True, Verizon is sorta like a commie with its locked Bluetooth (although on the newer phone like the new RAZR Maxx and 9900 they allow OBEX) and uniform UI. Just my opinion.

Cingular as they use GSM sim cards so you can change which phone you want to use without calling them,(I love having multiple phones with 1 phone number) also better coverage, able to take the phone international, simultaneously talk and browse the internet, video calling, verizon is cdma technology and is basically only used in the US, thus less phones to choose from.

decide the furthest place you pass to from the place you reside. occasion a chum who could stay in the rustic, or added suburbs from you. See in the event that they have provider, and how it incredibly works for you. the two Cingular & Verizon have sturdy provider. Cingular does grant rollover minutes, that are sturdy for a three hundred and sixty 5 days. additionally pollyour persons and kin, see which service they have. they're close to to you. There are additionally loose mobil to mobil, that's yet another sturdy ingredient. word of roaming quotes too--get a telephone with loose roaming!
