Why is it important to know for kindergartners?

This is for my TEKS Lesson Plan. First time making one, I'm struggling with it. Would really appreciate your help.

It's an affordable, safe, hands-on introduction to physical science which can later be built upon....and most of all, water & ice are familiar to a young kindergartener....personal experience being very important when introducing new skills or concepts to the early learner.
