Increasing pressure is a result of subsidence (sinking motion). Subsidence results in clear skies and therefore no precipitation.

When the air pressure increases, the weather in general is gradually improving. For example, if the pressure of the hurricane is decreasing, that means the hurricane is intensifying

High air pressure usually means calm, sunny weather.

There really aren't scientific terms for that.

as air pressure increases, it starts drawing in high altitude air and creates a downdraft, and the result will usually be clear skies and fair weather conditions.
