The only tools you need to become a writer are your brains, a writing utensil, and something to write on - whether it be pen and paper or keyboard and MS Word.

If you want to become a writer, the best thing you can do is start writing.

If you want credits, attend writing classes and seminars - but the essential thing is to develop a writing habit.
