It wouldnt. The only thing that would change is that you would see an increase of womens rights issues what havent seen in 3 decades probably. The feminist are going to have a field day with trying to shove their agenda down the presidents throat because she is a woman, and they think that she will be sympathetic to them. I also think other countries would somewhat resent hearing from a women president( Look at how they treat condolezza rice) especially those in Arab states. In all, i think it does matter what female is president, because i think that of one became president, she should always keep the presidential office front and center (AS A WHOLE) in politics, policy making, and foriegn affairs. Along as she is not trying to make a feminist agenda while in office, i think i would definitely vote for who ever is running(My opinion)... I am not a big fan of feminism...

The US had a similiar dicussion when JFK ran. He was the first catholic to run. The doomsayers told of the US being run by the pope. He was elected and with the exception of Viet Nam he did an outstanding job. Why can't we look at the person who shares our views on the issues and vote accordingly. Anyone worring about hormones has some real issues. Let' see women generals, supreme court justices, Congress, lawyers, doctors, engineers. They are in all fields. If you do not vote for someone only because they are a women you need serious help.

It really depends on the person, as far as the day to day running of the business of the country I would believe that it would not be much differnet. and as far as defending our country I don't think that would be any different either. In some ways it could be better, there have been many woman leaders of countrys in the world and those country's are still here. In answer to your question we would still be the U.S. no matter who is the leader man or woman due to our system of checks and ballance.

Many countries changed from worst to good when run by a female leader just like UK and the Philippines, under Thatcher and Aquino, respectively.

It wouldn't, the type of person who gets into politics needs to have the same type of behavior and smarts.
I really take exception to the idea that we should keep our women down so that fundamentalists of any persuasion would in some strange way 'like' us better.
