so we don't have to subsidize all those provincial yokels who mouth off anti liberal hate speech. Talk about biting the hand that feeds! Let's see how you conservative boneheads fare without our economy.

California is a former Mexican province. Thus, California can join Mexico again or become an independent state. Anyway, it is up to the Californians which to choose.

"liberal" politicians of today are socialists not just liberals. Particularly in California. Generally, that's the gripe from most people you call conservative. If California would like to leave the Union, adios. Although southern California still has a glimmer of hope to split from the San Fransisco loons and join the rest of America

Thats a real grown up attitude. Would you like your lollipop now? The news is - it doesn't matter liberal or conservative, California will drop off in the ocean and we will be forced to live without the California economy.

I hate to make light of it by asking you to tell Captain Nemo I said hi, when it happens..., but with your attitude its awful tempting.

It's really a symbiotic relationship... California needs the rest of America, and the rest of America needs California.

Oh, and if it weren't for California's 55 reliably blue electoral votes, it'd be pretty hard to get another Democrat elected president!

I live in So Cal and I'm a Conservative. You've probably never even been outside of California, so I don't blame you for not knowing any better. Maybe one of these days, mommy and daddy will open your eyes to a whole different world, free from traffic, polution and rude people. Or better yet, if you want, me and a couple of buddies can get together and buy you a one way ticket to antarctica.

You don't subsidize them, they subsudize you. Check out tax statistics and federal goverment subsitdies and entitlement statistics by state. California adds MUCH MORE in taxes than it takes in federal spending.

If the red states broke off from the union, they would be excited for about 10 seconds, until they realized that the blue states SUPPORT THEM!

Actually Southern California and Northeren California want to split from each other and each be a state by themselves. That would make 51 states. Interesting huh?

To point out something to Irish Texas is the only state that can legally split and it can into 4 states

Relax. I'll be taking over soon, and one of my first orders of business will be to give California to Mexico, and Washington, Oregon, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio to Canada.

Boy if that were to happen that would make my day. Remember to take all those wall climbers with you so that we here in Ohio don't have to keep them and those SanFran wierdo's.
