Amen. If Bush had stuck to his two wins in Iraq - removing Saddam, and then finding Saddam, perhaps we'd be in a better place today. Of course that also would have had to include an actual plan for the obvious aftermath. It certainly seemed as if he and Cheney were so convinced the Iraqis were going to fall down and kiss our American feet that they thought they didn't need a plan for the aftermath. How incompetent and short-sighted does a President have to be before it's obvious to even the most blinded loyalist? It's just continued to get worse, and has never been a success in any real sense of the word. Some people are just comforted by sticking their head in the sand I suppose, which must be a frightening way to live.

I didn't know that US generals in Iraq signed a surrender treaty with the Iraqi insurgents? But I'm glad that you are such a credible source that you must be right, the US has surrendered. But if you're wrong & US generals haven't surrendered or withdrawn from Iraq the US hasn't lost anything yet. And if they finally let the Iraqi Army lead the fight against the insurgents/terrorists the Iraqi Army may win the war for the US military. So don't count you chickens before their hatched. It ain't over till it's over.

Right you are and Bill Clinton is a perfect example for the left as Bush is for the right. The left supported him in all of his lies and cover-ups of all things leading to 9/11. On the right the president is unpopular because war is never popular, but to admit loss is only aiding the enemy. As long as our troops are there fighting, we haven't lost. And the bashing goes both ways.

I always thought conservatives were history buffs, is it that they just don't learn from it. The Iraqi's will be fighting each other in ten years, they will be fighting each other for a century, they drove out the British, because they didn't belong there. That plot of desert is not worth one American soldiers fingernail, Bring The Boys[And Girls] Home and rebuild America!

I don't know if I really qualify as a "hard-core supporter" but I don't think we can afford to lose in Iraq. I don't bash others about it unless they're being really belligerent.
Have a great day!

The 28% of the people that still support Bush are the most mentally diminished of the population, they have no credibility, as they have spent that on an criminal and corrupt leader. The ones that do not think that he is doing the job are the ones that can think for themselves and do not rely on the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hanity to do their thinking for for them.

I could say the same about either Clinton. Have you heard Hilary's latest that Bush tricked her while before the war She was saying she had thoroughly investigated the need to take action and that going alone was OK as that is what Bill had done .

I think all of this was more than even the president was willing to see! Many on his side thought this was going to be a cake-walk.
Didn't McCain use those very words!
Soon people will realize just exactly what is going on in the name of America and do something to stop it!

Imagine how hard it is to have grown up believing that america was the white knight to the world only to have to face the reality that it was no longer, if ever, true. its hard to make the shift, but smart americans are doing it every day. dont worry, these die hard supporters cant hang on too much longer. their life raft is disentigrating.

Everybody quit bashing each other. We have 30 some odd million illegal immigrants were trying to get out of here. Your help would be appreciated. By the way as far as dems and reps go, i think they're both done now. The people have had it.
To Kelly B: That was a really good post.
