My husband does not care to go out to eat, he is a very picky eater, especially does not like Chinese food and I love it. It bothers me to go alone......but I cannot always find someone to go with me. Do you go out to eat alone...does it bother you?

I enjoy going out with family or friends to eat but I also enjoy a quiet lunch all by myself too. It used to bother me but not any more.

Well ever-since I was in school I hated to eat alone. It sounds funny but if my best neither of my two best friend came to school that day id rather go to the library. But now some times im forced to eat out by myself and what i do is take a puzzle book or just chat on the phone with someone while i wait for my food it kinda stinks to eat on your own so good luck finding someone to go every time!

I go out alone to eat all the time. No it does not bother me a bit. When I seat one person to eat, I tell them they are in the best company they can have. That comment always gets a smile.

I have no problem eating alone. I use to but one day I couldn't find anyone at work with any money, soI picked up my book I was reading and I went by myself and sat there and ate and open the book and never read not even a sentence.
My sister is a divorcee and she always goes out to eat alone.

Try it it's not bad. I always felt people would be looking my way, but everyone is too busy eating. Go and enjoy yourself some Chinese food by your self.

I definitely go out to eat alone. I love to people watch, and I am a serious foodie. I don't like to read while I'm eating, though. Sometimes I'll bring a pad and paper to jot down thoughts that come to mind. Other times (and I know this may sound silly) I pretend I'm a restaurant critic, and I thoroughly enjoy my meal considering the flavors and the seasonings in case I'd like to prepare the dishes at home. And you never know if you might meet someone out who'd like to join you for dessert!

It doesn't bother me to eat alone outside. But it bothers me that all these sit-down restaurants have walls and doors hiding what's going on inside the kitchen. I don't know whether the chef is spitting or blowing his nose or urinating on my food before the waiter brings it out to my table. There should be a law stating that all restaurants have transparent window instead of walls and doors so that customers can see what's going on inside the kitchen. I have this strong opinion because I got sick numerous times while eating outside.

I have no problem eating in fast food restaurants alone, because it generally doesn't take a long time to eat, and there's no expanse of time where I'm just sitting at my table or booth with nothing to do but wait to be served.

However, if I'm in a sit-down restaurant where waiters/waitresses serve me, I don't really like eating alone. If I have to wait too long for my food, I get bored and antsy if I'm alone, but the time passes quickly if I have someone to chat with. :) Sometimes I even feel lonely if I'm eating by myself in a sit-down restaurant :( but usually I guess I just feel bored.

I love to eat out and very often eat out alone because i choose to and sometimes, friends let me down. I go to Thai and Indian Restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe, also pub lunches. Just bring a book or mobile phone with you so that you dont have to look at other people and feel uncomfortable eating alone.

I enjoy dining alone. When I travel on business I always ask the people who check me in at the hotel where they recommend to eat. I can sit back, relax with a glass or two of wine and take my time to enjoy my meal without having to make conversation with anyone. I usually ask my waiter or waitress what things the locals like to do in their town and where would they go out to eat if they were going out.

It doesnt bother me to eat alone. I like going to crab dinners and my wife dont, so she goes and eats what and where she wants. If you love Chinese, you could always bring it home and eat while your husband eats what he enjoys. When you want to go out to eat find a friend to go with
