I often read up on the Disney Company's Official Press Releases, and I've heard nothing of this. A lot of other people have asked this question, though. There are websites that list all of the current works of the Company and none of them list a new Park in Texas. It's very possible they've purchased land in texas, but it definitely doesn't mean they're building a Park. Maybe they're just building a store, or maybe they're making a new destination for their new vacation program "Adventures by Disney." Unless you heard it on Radio Disney, I wouldn't believe it.
I guess we'll know for sure sometime this weekend, though.

RE:
Is it true there is going to be a Disney World or Disneyland in Frisco, TX?
I heard on the radio today about plans to build a Disney World or Disneyland in Frisco, Texas. They said they were planning on announcing it on Super Bowl Weekend. Does anyone know if this is true? They said it would be around Highway 380 and Dallas North Tollway. Is there even an area around there...

First, Disney had their annual stockholders meeting last week. If something was going to be announced, it would have been then.
Second, Disney has a lot of land in Florida and California. Their focus is bringing people to these parks by adding attractions, and "fixing" California Adventure to be more Disney-like. If there's rumors about adding another park, it would be more likely to be in Anaheim or Orlando.
Third, although attendance has been good at the parks on both coasts, a third park in Texas would draw folks from either existing park. While it might be more convenient for you to visit, Disney doesn't want their existing operations to lose money.
Fourth, Disney has been rumored to be buying property and building parks in practically every state of the union, plus Canada and Mexico. It won't happen for all the reasons above.
So no, there will be no Disney park in Texas anytime soon.

I used to work for Disney in Florida for 4 years. It would be unusual for them, but not improbable...They have them in other countries, maybe they've decided to expand in the states, but I doubt it, unless they've planned something with a different type of theme. And you know how much Disney loves theming...... It would be great if they built something in my home state....

Disney World - so many more parks - it's more convenient. Haven't been to Tokyo or Paris (Disney). But there are some rides at Disneyland that they don't have at Disney World (Indiana Jones & Matterhorn). I do love California.

WE WERE SHOPPING FOR A HOME IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS ABOUT YEAR AGO. WE WERE TOLD BY A REAL ESTATE AGENT THAT KNEW ANOTHER AGENT THAT HAD SOLD A LARGE AMOUNT OF LAND TO THE DISNEY CORPORATION IN WESTERN SIDE OF SAN ANTONIO. DO NOT KNOW HOW RELIABLE THIS IS TAKE IT FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH. TIME WILL TELL SAN ANTONIO WOULD BE BETTER THAN DALLAS THE WEATHER IS BETTER.
