I've seen people at malls, movie theaters, even workout at the gym with shades on. What's up with that? I could understand if they just visited the eye doctor.

I have wondered this same thing! I figured they weren't in the witness protection program, or trying to hide a glass eye. Jack Nicholson & Dennis Rodman are 2 more who always wear their shades indoors...even at award shows w/ other celebs! I've been told by a few who wear theirs indoors that they are shy and feel naked, exposed and like everyone's looking at them if they didn't wear them. The rest just think they look cool, unfortunately.

Well, when I see strangers, it kind of depends who it is. Maybe it's stereotyping, but when I see some thug-looking teenager, I just assume that he thinks he's "cool". On the other hand, if I saw like a 60 year old woman at the mall with her grandkids, I would assume it was an eye condition requiring her to leave them on. Maybe that is unfair, but I'm 21 and I know some guys that wear their sunglasses at night/indoors so I would just assume that others of that same generation would be doing the same thing for the same reason.
I personally can't stand it when people wear sunglasses inside or at night. I know a lot of people that started doing that for some reason or another. It never made sense to me, but then again a lot of trends/fads are mildly ridiculous.

Maybe they did just visit the eye doctor, maybe they have pink eye, maybe they got hit in the eye, have a stye, or maybe they think they look good. Or maybe they want to feel like a celebrity!

I automatically assume they have some debilitating condition (not like Bush who mocks the visually impaired for it.) However I do not assume that people who talk to themselves are using a cell phone. Crazy person is my first thought there.

hey, whatever makes them happy, but personally why hide your eyes as if they have a secret to conceal? let people know you're not a freak and you have a social life!! forget about the style!

Most of the time, it's because they are just lame and think that they are cooler than everybody else.

they are the coolest people. the only people cooler are those who wear their sunglasses at night.

They have sore eyes, or they are cross eyed or had a big eye bag, be considerate to them!
