You should only wear hot pink if you suit it and not to draw attention you bimbo.

First of all I want to say I think it's awesome you are going for such an unconventional look, whether that was your intention or not! I went to prom all 4 years of high school and not once did I see someone break away from the long poofy Cinderella dress, or the traditional colors for prom dresses i.e. soft pinks, blues, yellows, greens, etc. As for your date I'd say go with all black then add the punch of color in his tie. Just enough color to match with out looking like a couple on 'Dancing With The Stars'. Years down the road you'll likely look at the pic and say.."wow we might have been dorks, but we had a great time!" I doubt you will feel like the decision to wear bright pink ruined your life! Good luck, have fun!

Well, depending on your skin tone, hair color, and eyecolor, the hot pink may stand out more than needed. Anyway, I don't think it's too much because there are some very unconventional prom dresses out there. Also, it will be very dark on the dancefloor so the hot pink will not be as a big deal. Your date should stick with just the color on the tie --- the attention and focus should be on you.

Do whatever you and your boyfriend feel comfortable with (some guys may not be comfortable in a hot pink vest, at least I know my ex wouldn't have been...but if he is that's AWESOME then, lol).
If you're looking to draw attention, and be different, go for the vest!
However, I personally would go for just the tie, because a hot pink vest i think would be too much for me and my date for prom...however that's just me personally...i don't mind standing out...to an extent.
oh, and just a htought, maybe have him add hot pink tips to his hair? that would look great...

The hot pink sounds awesome cuz for senior prom you're supposed to stand out from everyone else and show off how great you look. Its just a rule. I think it would look really cool if your date wore a black tux with a black shirt and a hot pink tie. He'd look really sleek and you guys would totally match.

Well, it sounds like you are going for the shock factor. So why not go ALL the way? I think he should wear a black tux with the pink vest and have a pink flower.

Make the shirt the same colour as the dress, with a plain black suit, no tie. Dare to be different.

If this is your senior prom I would say don't go in hot pink. Think about it, 10 years from now you'll look at that picture and think "What was I thinking?" Now if it is just your junior prom then I'd say go for it!!

tone down the color a little.. you don't want some of the ppl to think there is too much going on there... your date should wear a normal black or white tuz ..NO pink vest.. i like making a fashion statemnt too ...but you have to know where the line is and wen not to cross it.
