No. Most don't. This was a big blow-up just before Reagan left office, if you remember. It's the question of whether the ends justify the means. I have read 4 or 5 articles about that. it was a flaw in the surplus auctions system and not an intentional sale. most were blocked before Iran got any of them.

I don't think it is a republican thing. It is a Pentagon thing. The plane are no longer in use here and like most surplus is auctioned. The problem is Iran is still using this airplane they are the only ones in the world that has any. Yes the auction should be stopped.
