Most people are not aware of this, but ENERGY in the body comes from the OXYGEN content in your blood. You can increase the oxygen content in your blood by doing aerobic exercises and deep breathing techniques.

Some good aerobic exercises would be working out to an aerobic video/DVD. Walking: start walking about 15 minutes/approx 1 mile every day and work up to about 1 hour a day. Dancing: put on your favorite music and dance. Start about 15 minutes every day and work your way up to about an hour.

Also, anytime you're feeling tired, if possible, take a little walk or do some dancing....any type of movement will start to energize you. Sitting too long/inactivity will make you feel more tired.

Practice deep diaphragmatic breathing. Tony Robbins has a great technique in his book Unlimited Power. It's called the 1-4-2 (Breathe/Hold/Expel) breath. This breathing technique is thousands of years old and it was originally taught in Ancient China and India. Here's how you do it...while sitting down...

(1/Breathe) Take as deep a breath as you can without straining. As you breath count slowly (1, 2, 3, etc) and remember the number.

(4/Hold) Next HOLD that breath for four times the length of the breath. Example if you breathed in for a count of 5 then you want to hold that breath for 4 x 5 or a count of 20.

Lastly (2/Expel) Slowly blow out through your mouth all the air in your lungs for two times the length of time that you breathed in. If you breathed in for 5 then expel for 2 x 5 or a count of 10.

You can use this breathing technique anytime you feel tired. Do at least 10 breaths (it will take less than 5 minutes) at a time and you will feel energized.

Additional benefits...doing 50-100 breaths a day will give you unlimited energy and BEAUTIFUL, clear skin. I usually do about 20 breaths when I first wake up in the morning before I even get out of bed and about 10 breaths an hour during the day to keep up my energy level. I do them while at work at my desk, while driving.

You need to start eating really healthily if not already. Breakfast should always be eaten, try a bowl of organic yogurt (biodynamic or probiotic) with organic muesli on top, sprinkle with a mix called SLAP (sunflower, linseed, almond and pumpkin seeds - can buy from supermarket or health shop, grind an equal amount of each till resembles breadcrumbs and store in sealed container in fridge for daily use) - get Breakfast Herbs and Bee Pollen from Health store and sprinkle on top - can pour unsweetened maple syrup on top if you like it, its very yum and nutritious. Also we need to eat more protein and less carbs (very little potatoes and bread) - eat organic eggs, lamb does not have to be organic and organic chicken, plenty of leafy green veg, dont eat too much fruit for a while, always have a healthy light meal in evening but not too late, eat soft cheeses as much healthier than hard cheeses, dont eat in between meals and completely avoid junk food. You should start to feel more energetic in a short time. BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL THAT SUSTAINS US DURING THE DAY, TRY ORGANIC SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH JUST A LITTLE BROWN BREAD, CAN ADD MUSHROOMS OR VEG - YOU WILL GET THROUGH TO LUNCH NO PROB. DARLENE WHO SAID DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND GET PLENTY OF SLEEP IS ALSO ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. YOU NEED TO DO THIS TOO. AVOID ALCOHOL, SMOKING ETC.

It could be a thyroid problem, PMS, lack of sleep, poor diet, etc. . .

I used to get really tired during the day and I realized it was because I had not been working out. The day I started working out was the day I started feeling better. If you've been taking a break from that you might restart.

you might be anemic. go to your doctors and get your iron level tested. if you are anemic you can go to any of you local drug stores and get iron supplements($5) it takes a few days to start working if you take them at a regular time each day. but they really work. i know from experience. alot of women are anemic because of our menstral cycle. that really lowers our iron.
