Before boys voices break they sing treble (soprano) or alto.
After that, some men are still able to sing the alto/soprano range but are called countertenors or male altos.
Below that you have the tenor (not many of these around, most choirs are crying out for more!) then baritone, then bass.
A bass can usually sing from a couple of notes below the stave (in bass clef) up to a D/E above middle C (but they'll complain like mad about going that high). A baritone won't be able to sing as low but will find the high notes easier.

you can have the full range "boy saprano"
and in days gone by Castralto....(The unkindest cut of all)
