hi. i am 12 yrs of age. all of my friends are having boyfriends and even my bestest friend just found out she is pregnat :( :( :(
all of them dress like they are 20. i dont want to do that. i dont even know why they have boyfriends. i still want to be a kid and wear my cartoon charcter shirts!!!!
can anyone tell me why everyone is dressing older except for me?
i dohnt want to be a loser to everyone but i dont want to dress that way for another 5 yrs!!! what should i do? plz help!!

Sweetie, you are WONDERFUL! It makes me sooo happy to hear you say that. I'm not sure why kids nowadays are trying so hard to act like adults. You're body may be ready, but your mind is no where near (no matter what they believe).
Dress exactly how you feel comfortable! You may come through a lot of peer pressure, but just let them know that you feel comfortable wearing what you chose and you'd rather not fall into the category of wanna-be adults.

Nice to hear finally someone dress like her own age! Enjoy your childhood, you can still look very cute in cartoon prints or plain t-shirt with jeans. You're a kid and it is right thing to do that you're happy being a kid. Believe me when you get older you want to look young again. Don't dress up like an adult, wear anything comfy that you like. You're just fine with what you are wearing right now.

You're just a little immature if you still like cartoon shirts. It's not your fault tho. Just has to do with what kind of environment your parents are putting you in. I'm 12 and started dressing (I don't want to say like I'm 20) when I was 11. You will get to that stage though soon. Your friends have just grown up a little quicker. Maybe look at preppy clothes in a different way from now on.

hey i think thats really cool if you still want to b a kid and not dress trashy i still do and im 19 i missed all the fun i had and wish i still could do that but now i have to grow up and do what adult have to do to take care of themselve if ur friends dont like the way you dress then dont worry about it or dis them and find new friends who dont care how you dress or act. i wish that young girls ur age would just take it slow on the way they dress and act and and not rush for sex like ur bff did. im sry that happend to her i wish her the best luck and i hope you do what you want to do and not do what other want you to do. be a kid and have fun becuz before you know its gone. life is too short to be a kid so live it and have fun while ur at it

OMG!! your friend is pregnant?? thats...BAD!! but you dont have to dress like anything you dont want to and just cuz everybody else is dressing a certain way doesnt necessarily mean you have to too. i feel the same way and i am your same age and i just dont pay any attention to that.

i think you should dress the way you want to so you can feel comfortable instead so dressing like you are a slut! like your friends no offense but if i was you i wouldn't hag out w/ them but if they are nice to you then stay their friend just don't do something you don't feel comfortable doin!
