Essentially because it's fun. My favorite hobby is to have my photograph taking with beautiful celebrities and then let out a real humdinger of a 'silent but deadly'. The moment their nose begins to twitch, blame then for the noxious odour. You know of those paparazzi photos of the stars 'looking ugly'.? That's my doing!

its not that men have more, the fact is that women either hide it or go to the bathroom for flatulence. men are not afraid or embaressed in public especially when they are next to someone they know well.

I think men and women have the same amount. Some men just don't care about it like women do, especially in a casual environment.

Men's Digestive track functions different from that of female's, also men generally eat different type of foods that digest differently causing more gas, and that gas has to come out sometime.

Women have it too - we just reabsorb it, let it out secretly and fart rosy smells. Men just lift their leg and crack a good 'un off!
